Hi!

Hi there and thanks for stopping by! Let's get to know each other, shall we? First I'll tell you a little about me and then you can use the form below to tell me about yourself and how I can help you capture some memories. Sound good? OK, here goes...

My name is Emily Taylor and I'm a Jackson, TN native; a mom to two boys and a baby girl; and a wife to my high-school sweetheart. I love books, cooking, and animals; but my passion in life is photography. I opened Grasshopper Studios in 2013 after a 13-year love affair with photography. Fun Fact: Out of high school, I was a month away from moving to Georgia to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta on a photography scholarship but decided instead to go with my boyfriend to my second choice, Mississippi State. I'd say that actually worked out pretty well as we'll celebrate our fourteenth wedding anniversary this summer AND I still get to enjoy a career in photography! Win-win!

Grasshopper Studios was formed around a love of births and babies - my absolute passion is birth photography - but I love all kinds of photography, including families, engagements, maternity, and parties. My style has been described as "capturing life as it happens" and that is what I truly strive for. I want to show the love in your family by personalizing your session to what feels natural to you. And, while you can count on walking away with some beautiful posed, portrait-style images, we will also mix into the session lots of play, cuddles, and laughter because those candid images are where the magic happens.

I love to hear my clients' ideas and collaborate with them in order to produce a session that represents who they are. My goal is for each session to be fun and stress-free so we can freeze some moments in a beautiful way that my clients will love to look back on for many years.

Now, I'd love to hear more about you! Don't be shy! You can reach me by any of the following methods:

Thanks for contacting me! I try to be as responsive as possible. I look forward to chatting with you!
